EV Market Share: Belgium

In June 2026, the automotive market in Belgium recorded a total of 45,449 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 38.0% of the market share. This represents a volume of 17,256 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 2.6 percentage points (from 35.3% in 2024-11).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 6.1% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 44.1% of all new car sales in Belgium for this period.
