EV Market Share: France

In November 2025, the automotive market in France recorded a total of 225,508 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 15.3% of the market share. This represents a volume of 34,531 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 5.3 percentage points (from 10.0% in 2024-11).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 4.2% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 19.6% of all new car sales in France for this period.
