EV Market Share: France

In June 2026, the automotive market in France recorded a total of 292,319 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 19.3% of the market share. This represents a volume of 56,357 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 9.1 percentage points (from 10.2% in 2025-06).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 4.3% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 23.5% of all new car sales in France for this period.
