EV Market Share: Slovenia

In January 2026, the automotive market in Slovenia recorded a total of 5,141 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 11.0% of the market share. This represents a volume of 568 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 2.1 percentage points (from 8.9% in 2024-12).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 5.1% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 16.2% of all new car sales in Slovenia for this period.
