EV Market Share: Slovenia

In March 2026, the automotive market in Slovenia recorded a total of 6,535 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 17.8% of the market share. This represents a volume of 1,162 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 8.7 percentage points (from 9.1% in 2025-03).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 4.0% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 21.8% of all new car sales in Slovenia for this period.
