EV Market Share: Slovenia

In September 2026, the automotive market in Slovenia recorded a total of 5,286 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 23.2% of the market share. This represents a volume of 1,224 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 12.6 percentage points(from 10.6% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 4.6% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 27.7% of all new car sales in Slovenia for this period.
