EV Market Share: Italy

In June 2026, the automotive market in Italy recorded a total of 146,351 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 10.2% of the market share. This represents a volume of 14,869 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 4.9 percentage points (from 5.3% in 2024-11).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 10.7% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 20.8% of all new car sales in Italy for this period.
