EV Market Share: Spain

In June 2026, the automotive market in Spain recorded a total of 128,426 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 11.1% of the market share. This represents a volume of 14,224 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 2.7 percentage points (from 8.4% in 2024-12).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 12.1% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 23.2% of all new car sales in Spain for this period.
