EV Market Share: Sweden

In June 2026, the automotive market in Sweden recorded a total of 31,000 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 42.1% of the market share. This represents a volume of 13,062 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 4.2 percentage points (from 37.9% in 2025-06).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 24.5% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 66.6% of all new car sales in Sweden for this period.
