EV Market Share: Latvia

In March 2026, the automotive market in Latvia recorded a total of 2,040 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 6.5% of the market share. This represents a volume of 133 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 0.1 percentage points (from 6.4% in 2025-03).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 9.2% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 15.7% of all new car sales in Latvia for this period.
