EV Market Share: Latvia

In June 2026, the automotive market in Latvia recorded a total of 2,389 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 12.0% of the market share. This represents a volume of 287 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 5.2 percentage points (from 6.8% in 2025-06).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 16.2% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 28.2% of all new car sales in Latvia for this period.
