EV Market Share: Latvia

In September 2026, the automotive market in Latvia recorded a total of 1,889 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 17.4% of the market share. This represents a volume of 328 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 9.4 percentage points(from 7.9% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 21.1% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 38.4% of all new car sales in Latvia for this period.
