EV Market Share: Estonia

In March 2026, the automotive market in Estonia recorded a total of 1,753 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 6.8% of the market share. This represents a volume of 119 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has declined by 1.7 percentage points (from 8.5% in 2025-03).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 9.2% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 16.0% of all new car sales in Estonia for this period.
