EV Market Share: Estonia

In September 2026, the automotive market in Estonia recorded a total of 1,663 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 11.2% of the market share. This represents a volume of 186 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 6.5 percentage points(from 4.7% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 9.4% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 20.6% of all new car sales in Estonia for this period.
