EV Market Share: Estonia

In January 2026, the automotive market in Estonia recorded a total of 1,359 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 5.6% of the market share. This represents a volume of 76 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 3.1 percentage points (from 2.5% in 2024-12).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 11.4% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 17.0% of all new car sales in Estonia for this period.
