EV Market Share: Slovakia

In September 2026, the automotive market in Slovakia recorded a total of 7,021 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 10.5% of the market share. This represents a volume of 734 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 6.4 percentage points(from 4.0% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 6.4% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 16.9% of all new car sales in Slovakia for this period.
