EV Market Share: Slovakia

In January 2026, the automotive market in Slovakia recorded a total of 5,591 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 6.1% of the market share. This represents a volume of 340 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 4.5 percentage points (from 1.6% in 2024-12).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 3.7% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 9.7% of all new car sales in Slovakia for this period.
