EV Market Share: Denmark

In March 2026, the automotive market in Denmark recorded a total of 18,968 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 77.1% of the market share. This represents a volume of 14,616 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 11.3 percentage points (from 65.8% in 2025-03).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 0.8% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 77.8% of all new car sales in Denmark for this period.
