EV Market Share: Greece

In September 2026, the automotive market in Greece recorded a total of 12,802 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 10.6% of the market share. This represents a volume of 1,356 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 5.4 percentage points(from 5.2% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 9.0% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 19.6% of all new car sales in Greece for this period.
