EV Market Share: Greece

In January 2026, the automotive market in Greece recorded a total of 10,087 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 6.3% of the market share. This represents a volume of 633 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has declined by 6.1 percentage points (from 12.4% in 2024-12).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 6.9% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 13.1% of all new car sales in Greece for this period.
