EV Market Share: Finland

In September 2026, the automotive market in Finland recorded a total of 6,984 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 62.1% of the market share. This represents a volume of 4,338 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 25.2 percentage points(from 36.9% in 2025-08).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 11.0% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 73.1% of all new car sales in Finland for this period.
