EV Market Share: Finland

In March 2026, the automotive market in Finland recorded a total of 6,791 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 49.6% of the market share. This represents a volume of 3,369 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 10.2 percentage points (from 39.4% in 2025-03).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 13.2% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 62.8% of all new car sales in Finland for this period.
