EV Market Share: Germany

In June 2026, the automotive market in Germany recorded a total of 227,849 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 36.9% of the market share. This represents a volume of 84,057 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 13.0 percentage points (from 23.9% in 2025-06).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 14.1% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 51.0% of all new car sales in Germany for this period.
