EV Market Share: Bulgaria

In June 2026, the automotive market in Bulgaria recorded a total of 5,457 new registrations. The adoption of electric vehicles continues to evolve, with Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) capturing 8.8% of the market share. This represents a volume of 478 full-electric cars registered this month.

Compared to the same period last year, the BEV market share has grown by 3.5 percentage points (from 5.2% in 2025-06).

Looking at the broader picture, Plug-in Hybrids (PHEV) achieved a 2.3% share. Combined, plug-in vehicles (BEV + PHEV) account for 11.1% of all new car sales in Bulgaria for this period.
